Just a few weeks into the new term and Class 10 have already been very busy. We enjoyed talking about our new topic, 'Magic Moments', and planning what we are going to find out about. Discussing birthdays, weddings and special trips caused much excitement!
Our Science work for this term is now well under way and we have started to look at 'Our Bodies' and the five senses. Our 'Doctor's Surgery' role play area has been open for a week and is a big hit with a steady stream of patients! Many thanks for all the extra resources that have been sent into school to support our topic work - it has really sparked the children's interest and it is lovely to see them so enthusiastic about their learning!
Thanks also for any recycling materials that have been brought into school this week - we will be making a start on our Chinese Dragons next week in preparation for Chinese New Year celebrations beginning on the 31st January. We are all looking forward to a busy and productive term,
Kind regards,
Mrs Clark

Christmas fun!
I hope you are all aware of the children's roles in the christmas concert, if anybody is struggling with ideas for costumes please pop in and see me after school. The rehearsals are underway and coming along nicely, we are excited to present this years concert and you will receive letters about purchasing tickets soon.
It was lovely to meet you all at parents evening and please remeber that my door is always open if you were to have any concerns about your child's progress this year.
A quick reminder that all children should be reading each night and returning their books with a comment from an adult at home ready for their reading day.

Ble wyt ti'n byw?
Hi all,
I hope you had a lovely summer!
Welcome to the Year One class. The children have settled in really well and are getting used to the new routines and classroom.
I'm sure you have all read the letter we sent out about the term ahead of us. If you have any queries please call in and see me. Our topic is 'Ble wyt ti'n byw?' We have already started to look at our topic and describe lots of different type houses. We have designed our own houses, using different shapes in maths. We have set up an old style cottage n our role play, which the children are enjoying.
Can i remind you that PE day is a Thursday and that children need to bring a pair of wellies to school as we will be starting Forest School shortly.

Summer term
Welcome back to a new term, I hope you all had a lovely Easter holiday. Our topic this term is Lan Y Mor/At the Seaside. We are setting up a role play travel agents in our class and brochures, information or posters that you can bring in will be a big help.
A reminder that PE is on Thursdays and all children must bring in PE kit as no child can participate in a PE lesson without their kit.
Parents information letters and topic webs to keep you up to date with you child's learning will be given out this week so please take the time to read the information as it will help you to support what is taking place in school.
Thank you for your support.

Hi Everyone,
Would like to wish you all a lovely Easter break. We have had a lovely Spring term in year one. We really enjoyed our topic on Magic Moments. Children created some fab work in their books. We had a great time in Newport Wetlands. My first visit there and it was a brill day full of fun. Children wrote some wonderful reports on their visit.
The sun has been lovely and my children have had a fun day today in the forest creating some Easter Bonnets from the natural enviroment. Our next few days will be packed with fun creating some lovely Easter craft.
I am very proud of my year one class. They are growing into mature and responsibile children. They are making great progress and I am confident to say they are already ready to enter year 2. So I am really looking forward to what the summer term will bring.
Keep posted to find out what our theme will be for next term. Enjoy the Easter break and ther sun.

Magic Moments
Hello Everyone
Happy 2012! We are really enjoying 2012 so far and have been really busy! We have been looking into our theme 'Magic Moments' and finding out about lots of different places in the world. Thank you for all the Chinese resources you brought into school. We had a super chinese day and celebrated the year of the dragon by cooking a stir fry and making a big chinese dragon for our display. It was great fun!
We are looking at france at the moment and the children have made lots of French artefacts and have loved building the Eiffel Tower with Mrs Ryan! We have learnt some French Phrases like bon jour and merci. Dylan's mum is very kindly coming to talk to us about france and teach us some French songs!
I will be sending home a family tree sheet some for the children to put a photo of someone special in their family on.
We are busy getting ready for the Eisteddfod in the next fortnight singing songs and saying poems!
Bye for now!
